Sainath Shrikant Pawaskar is a researcher in the cross disciplinary fields of Mechanical, Computer and Medical Engineering. His research interests include but not limited to contact mechanics of human joints, biomechanics and biotribology, Finite Element (FE) Modelling, joint replacement, medical imaging, neural networks, AI, ML, statistics, data science, DBMS, programming, optimisation techniques, etc.

He holds PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Leeds, Leeds, UK (2010).

He also holds MSc (Eng) by Research in Biomedical Engineering (2006, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK) and MS in Computer Science (2004, Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, USA).

His holds Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, Goa (1993).

He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology from National Centre for Software Technology (now Centre for Development of Advanced Computing: C-DAC).

He has 20+ years of experience in industry, research and teaching. He is passionate about Logic, Mathematics and Science in general.
